ATLANTA, Ga. – The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's track and field team wrapped up action at the Georgia Tech Invitational at the George C. Griffin Track and Field Facility on Saturday.
The 4x100-meter relay squad of
Stephon Hampton,
Richard Wilson,
Jaion Rayford and
Dezmen Cage collected a 12th-place finish by clocking a time of 41.55. The time was just .35 seconds from being a NCAA provisional qualifying mark.
The 4x400-meter relay squad of Hampton, Cage,
Brennan Parks and
Adrian Goddard compiled for a time of 3:15.12 to finish 10th.
Following this weekend's meet, the team will have a week off from competition before those that qualify will compete at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Pueblo, Colo., on May 24-26.
