Talbot Promoted To NHL's Rangers

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Former University of Alabama in Huntsville star Cam Talbot has been promoted to the New York Rangers after guiding the American Hockey League's Connecticut Whale to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
 
During the playoff run, Talbot recorded a 2.10 goals against average and save percentage of .939 while posting a league-best two shutouts. During the regular season, he boasted a goals against average of 2.61 and a .913 save percentage while establishing career highs in games played, wins, and save percentage while tying for fourth in the AHL with four shutouts.
 
Talbot was one of six to join the Blueshirts who are currently in an Eastern Conference Finals battle with New Jersey.
 
The Caledonia, Ontario, native played at UAH from 2007-10, guiding the Chargers to a CHA championship and NCAA tournament appearance during his final campaign in the Blue and White.
