BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its 2024 preseason accolades on Tuesday, and UAH was represented by Carmen Endicott on the Preseason All-GSC Team.
 
Endicott earns the distinction after garnering All-GSC honors in each of her last two seasons in addition to United Soccer Coaches All-South Region nods as well.
 
The Las Vegas, Nevada, native posted six goals and two assists last season to give her 40 points in her career from 17 career goals and six career assists. She has notched 14 points in each of the past two seasons as well.
 
The GSC additionally unveiled its 2024 Newcomer Watchlist on Tuesday, which features forward Erin Turley (Oxford, Ala.) and defender Campbell Tarentino (Powder Springs, Ga.).
 
West Florida finished in the top spot on the coaches' preseason poll with 11 first-place votes, followed by Lee in second with two top nods. Mississippi College, Montevallo and Union, and Valdosta State came away in the third through sixth slots, respectively, prior to West Alabama in seventh and UAH in eighth.
 
UAH is coming off a 2023 campaign that saw the squad go 8-6-4 overall and a 5-5-3 in GSC matches, which is the first time since 2009 the Chargers have produced winning records both overall and in conference play.
 
The Chargers start the 2024 season at home on Thursday, Sept. 15 against visiting McKendree at 5 p.m. UAH has eight home dates on its 2024 home slate, which are all free to attend courtesy of Alabama Credit Union.
