HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Playing in its final tournament of the regular season, the UAH volleyball team is set to head to Pensacola, Fla., for the Gulf South Conference/Sunshine State Conference Crossover hosted by West Florida this weekend.
The Lady Chargers enter the weekend with a 7-13 record, having lost three of their past five games – however, two of those losses have been in heartbreaking five-set contests.
UAH will be squaring off against four teams from one of the premier volleyball conferences. On Friday, the Blue and White will face Lynn at 9 a.m. before taking on Florida Southern at 4:30 in the afternoon. Saturday will see the Lady Chargers compete against Eckerd at 9 a.m. and Saint Leo at 1 p.m.
The Tritons from Eckerd feature the best record of this weekend's opponents as they sit at 13-3 on the season, while Saint Leo is the only of the four with a sub-.500 mark as it owns an 8-9 record. Both FSC and Lynn are 10-7.
Live stats for all the contests are slated to be available at goargos.com, and fans are encouraged to follow the Lady Chargers on Twitter (@uahchargers).
