MISSOURI S&T: LIVE STATS
BELLARMINE: LIVE STATS | LIVE VIDEO
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Looking to snap a three-game slide, the University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team will close out 2012 with a pair of contests in the Bluegrass State as the Lady Chargers (5-5) will face Missouri S&T (4-3) on Sunday at 3 p.m. CST before turning around to face host Bellarmine (8-1) at 2 p.m. CST on Monday.
UAH continues to be led in scoring by
Jasmine Hammon as the junior is averaging 18.4 points per contest while scoring in double figures in each of the team's 10 games on the season.
Jordan Smith sits behind her as she is scoring nearly 16 points per game, and both
Natalie Kelley and
Halle Jarnagin are averaging 8.8 points.
Jarnagin was particularly strong in the team's last time out, notching her first career double-double in the 67-65 setback at Florida Southern. The freshman scored 21 and grabbed 12 rebounds – marks that are both season-best numbers for the Brentwood, Tenn., native.
Since falling in its second game of the season, Bellarmine has ripped off seven straight wins, and the Knights feature quite a balanced offensive effort with seven players averaging more than six points per contest. The team is outscoring its opposition by more than 16 points on average per game.
UAH and Bellarmine have met just once – a victory for the Knights in 1998.
Missouri S&T has been a streaky team, dropping three straight before winning three in a row in the team's contests leading into Sunday's showdown. Hailee Parks paces her team with a scoring average of 15.3 points, and she also leads the team with 7.9 boards per game.
Sunday's game is the first-ever between the two programs.
Live stats for both contests will be available along with live video of the game on Monday.
