HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team will battle Sunshine State Conference institution Florida Tech at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall on Sunday night with the two teams looking for a spot in the NCAA Division II South Region Men's Basketball Tournament championship game. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m.
 
Both the Chargers and the Panthers were involved in close, hard-fought games on Saturday as UAH defeated Benedict 69-61 while FIT got by Saint Leo 61-56.
 
Leading the Blue and White in their victory was Jaime Smith who scored 23 points, while Julius Reid and Simon Cummings both scored 17 to pace Florida Tech in its triumph.
