Men's Tennis Travels To Tennessee For Exhibition

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's tennis team will travel to Knoxville, Tenn., on Thursday to face 19th-ranked Tennessee in an exhibition contest. The match is slated for 5 p.m. CST.

The match will serve as quite the test for first-year Head Coach Daniel Finn's team as the Volunteers currently have a pair of players ranked in the top 50 in singles while three of the squad's doubles pairings are nationally ranked, also. UT has experienced a great amount of success in recent years, including a run to the NCAA championship match in 2010, and two graduates of the program are playing in this year's Australian Open.

The match represents the first chance for Finn's squad to take on outside competition in the spring season. The squad made significant strides in the fall, punctuated by Christopher Kano being seeded in the USTA/ITA Men's South Regional.
