HUNTSVILLE | The No. 22 University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw on Friday afternoon on the road at Montevallo. The first tie of the season for UAH moves the Chargers to 11-3-1 on the year, while the Falcons go to 6-5-4.

Freshman
Bailey Oliver scored his first collegiate goal in the contest, leveling the affair at 1-1 in the 49th minute, and the Huntsville native's strike was assisted by
Leo De Smedt to give De Smedt five points in the team's last four contests.

The Oliver goal came after Srdjan Dujkovic put Montevallo in front midway through the first half with a score in the 21st minute.

The Chargers dominated the second half, pushing to find the go-ahead score while firing off 10 shots including seven of which were on frame, but Montevallo keeper Yannic Horn was up to the task, registering nine saves on the night – including a stop on a Florent Giardin try in the final minute of regulation.

Michael Winstone recorded three saves in goal for the Blue and White.

In the overtime periods, Montevallo totaled five shots to UAH's four, and two of the attempts from the Chargers were on target from
Mitch Wilson and
Hermann Bjornsson. The Falcons had just one shot on goal.

Despite the wide 10-4 advantage in shots on goal for the Chargers, total shots in the contest were even at 16-16, and both teams were awarded three corners in the match.

A total of 18 fouls and two cautions were issued.

The Chargers will now return home on Wednesday when Carson-Newman visits for UAH's final regular season home game. The team's seven seniors will be honored prior to the 6:30 p.m. kickoff at Charger Park.
