LIVINGSTON, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team dropped a 3-2 decision on the road Friday night at West Alabama in the regular season finale. The Chargers slip to 12-4-1 (6-3-0 GSC) on the year, while UWA improves to 10-6-0 (7-3-0 GSC).

UAH will now host a Gulf South Conference tournament quarterfinal match as the third seed against sixth-seeded Delta State on Tuesday at Charger Park. Complete details will be released when available.

The hosts grabbed a quick lead, with Emmanuel Mondestin scoring 36 seconds into the game, and that 1-0 lead would hold through until the halftime break, after which West Alabama would go up 2-0 in the 52nd minute on Thibault Charmey's score.

UAH would pull itself back into the contest in the 66th minute when
Andrew Ingram was credited with a goal out off a scrum in front of the net, but the Tigers went back ahead by the two-goal advantage in the 73rd minute off a strike from Brian Meadows.

Rafn Haraldsson scored off a brilliant free kick in the 86th, pulling the Chargers back within one at 3-2, but the visiting side was unable to tally the equalizer in the closing moments.

The Chargers held a 10-9 advantage in shots on the night, while shots on goal were even in the match at 6-6. UAH earned six corners in the game, and the Chargers only conceded two to the Tigers.
