HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville Department of Athletics announced the program's first-ever head women's lacrosse coach on Monday, revealing that
Gail Wallach will be the first to lead the Chargers in the department's newest sport.

Â
Wallach was a three-sport star at Kean University prior to her coaching career where she remains in the program's top five in ground balls. She was also talented on the hardwood, earning All-American status as a basketball player, and she owns the single-season program record for scoring average with 24.7 points per game. She totaled 1,679 points during her basketball career. Along with basketball and lacrosse, Wallach lettered in field hockey in her time at Kean.
