Shannon Steinert went 10-for-17 from the field – including a strong 4-for-5 showing from beyond the arc – in the win over Montevallo, and the Hoover, Alabama, native scored a career-high 27 points while also grabbing seven rebounds. The performance moved Steinert into a tie with
Halle Jarnagin atop the team's offensive ledger as both are scoring 11.5 points per contest.

FROM DOWNTOWN: The Chargers rank second in the league with 7.8 3-pointers per game, ranking behind Union's impressive 16.5 per contest and ahead of North Alabama who is averaging 7.5 triples per night.

TOUGH D: UAH currently ranks third in the GSC in field goal percentage defense, limiting teams to a field goal percentage of just 39.6 on the season. That number is boosted by a terrific performance in the team's road win at Barry when it held the Bucs to shoot just 28.8 percent for the contest.

ABOUT HIWASSEE: Hiwassee fell in its last time out, dropping an 88-56 decision at Shorter. In the setback, both Halei Lequire and Dominique Stringer led the team with 12 points, while Tamyah Potts was strong on the glass with 10 rebounds.

SERIES HISTORY: The only meeting between the two programs came last year when the Chargers won 134-44. UAH set several program records in the contest: most field goals (50), most field goal attempts (107), most rebounds (70), and most assists (30).
