TUSCALOOSA, Ala. | The seventh-ranked University of Alabama in Huntsville softball team cruised to a doubleheader sweep of Stillman on Tuesday afternoon, winning 10-2 in five innings in the first game before capturing a lightning-shortened 6-0 win in five innings in nightcap.

UAH moves to 25-8 with the pair of victories, while Stillman slips to 16-14.

The Chargers will now turn their attention to a weekend showdown with No. 1 Valdosta State. The series at Charger Park will start with a doubleheader on Friday and wrap up with a single game on Saturday.

In the first game, the Chargers pounded out 13 hits with all but two spots in the lineup recording a hit while

Kaitlyn Bannister,
Tyler Harrison and reigning GSC Freshman of the Week
Victoria Crumpton each recorded a pair, helping the visitors score a run in the first, five in the second, three in the fourth and an additional tally in the fifth.

Both of Robertson's hits in the game were doubles, allowing her to drive in a pair of runs, and she was matched in the RBI category by Bannister and Crumpton.

Earning the victory in the circle was
Emily Glover (5-3) who went four innings, allowing just four hits and a pair of unearned runs while striking out four, and
Taylor Doriety then tossed a perfect inning in relief in the fifth to end the contest early.

In the nightcap, Doriety won for the fourth time to move to 4-0 as she faced just one batter over the minimum, surrendering just one base hit while striking out a pair in her five innings of work.

UAH matched its game one performance with 13 hits, and eight spots in the lineup recorded at least a hit in the game.

Abby Roberts paced the team with three hits in the contest, while Frith and Robertson both had a pair of hits and two RBI with Robertson hitting her seventh homer of the season in the contest.
Savannah Smith also had a pair of hits in the game.
