GSC'S TOP ROOKIE:
Anna LeDuc was honored on Tuesday as the GSC's Freshman of the Week, following a stellar beginning to her collegiate career in the Hilton Garden Inn UAH Classic. A Bentonville, Arkansas, native, LeDuc led the team with 53 kills and was second on the team with 42 digs, while chipping in six total blocks, four assists and five service aces.

STARTING UNDEFEATED: The Chargers stampeded through the competition at the UAH Classic, recording a 5-0 record with wins over Ouachita Baptist, Southern Arkansas, Stillman, Trevecca Nazarene and William Jewell. The Chargers last started 5-0 in the 2001 season, when the Blue & White began the campaign 6-0.

SWEET SWINGING: UAH totaled hitting percentages over .250 on three occasions in the UAH Classic, topping out at .389 in the three-set victory over Stillman. The Chargers attack is led by seniors
Haley Snyder (.357, 33 kills),
Olivia Bauman (.298, 23 kills) and
Kendall Knisley (.289, 36 kills) amongst players with 50 attacks or more.

Haley Hop currently leads the Chargers defense with 63 digs through five matches, with fellow newcomer LeDuc in second with 42 digs and sophomore
Kirsten Giles in third with 40 of her own.

NO WAY THROUGH: The Chargers compiled 31.0 total blocks in the season-opening weekend, paced by junior
Rachel Brugman with 14 block assists and one solo block. Snyder is second on the Blue & White with 14.0 blocks (2 BS, 14 BA) followed by Knisley in third with 11.0 total blocks (1 BS, 10 BA).

MATCHUP HISTORIES: The Blue & White own a 1-0 all-time record against Mount Olive, while being 1-2 all-time against host Francis Marion. UAH will be playing Georgia College and North Greenville for the first time in program history.

LOOKING AHEAD: UAH continues its road swing after the Francis Marion Tournament with a trip to West Georgia on Sept. 15 to kick off GSC play, before returning to Spragins Hall for conference contests against Lee (Sept. 18) and Shorter (Sept. 19).
