HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team picked up a Gulf South Conference win on Friday night, defeating visiting Shorter 3-1 at Charger Park. The Chargers improve to 7-6-0 (3-5-0 GSC), while Shorter drops to 1-10-1 (0-5-1 GSC).

Alexcia Alexander would play the ball to Maurice who promptly scored what proved to be the game-winner.

-Breaux earns her seventh win of the season, and that total represents a new career-best for the junior. The Carencro, Louisiana, native logged six in both of her first two seasons in Huntsville.

Alexcia Alexander's goal is the seventh of the season for the Lafayette, Louisiana, native, and it ends a four-game scoring drought for the junior. Alexander's seven goals have come in just 11 games.

Alexcia Alexander takes over the team lead in scoring as she now has 15 points on the strength of the seven goals and one assist.
-Oglesby's assist on the Alexander score marks her second of the season, and it also is the sophomore's second career point.
