Â
The top-seeded Lions forced the deciding game by winning 7-0 in the day's first game, collecting nine hits and scoring a pair of runs in the second, one each in the fourth and fifth, and three in the sixth to put the contest away.
Â
Raven Cole went the distance in the circle for UNA, allowing just four hits. Harrison was her counterpart for UAH, falling to 21-9 on the year after surrendering six hits and four runs.
Â
The Chargers threatened twice, using back-to-back singles from
Brianna Sullivan and
Savannah Smith with two outs in the third to give UAH two runners on for
Kaitlyn Bannister who gave it a good ride on a long fly out to center, and
Jada Hayes and
Haley Thompson drew back-to-back walks with one out in the fifth, ultimately moving to second and third before being stranded there.
Â
Brooklynn Clark went 3-for-3 with three runs to lead UNA.

North Alabama 7, UAH 0 (Game Two)
Â
Hillary Carpenter carried a perfect game into the fifth inning for the Lions in the second game, and received run support from her offense as North Alabama scored in five straight innings starting in the third to advance to next weekend's Super Regional.
Â
Carpenter held UAH to three hits, while Clark recorded another three-hit showing.
Â
The Chargers did threaten in the fifth when Harrison reached on a fielding error, moved to second on a sac bunt by
Abby Roberts, and stood at third with just one out after a
Taylor Wascavage single.
Â
Carpenter retired the next two in order to end the threat, and she would also wiggle out of a runners at first-and-second jam in the sixth when Smith and Bannister singled with two outs.
