HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team earned a hard-fought win on Saturday night, defeating visiting King by a 3-2 score at Charger Park. UAH improves to 1-4-0 on the year, while the Tornado moves to 2-3-0.

Turning Point
-With the game level at 2-2,
Hermann Bjornsson scored his second goal of the night in the 73rd minute to put the Chargers in front 3-2 with fellow countryman
Gunnar Birgisson assisting on the marker.

Myles Fullen then preserved the lead for his side when he made a terrific stop in the 81st minute on King's last scoring chance of the contest.

Tucker Watts opened the scoring for UAH when he leveled the affair in the 23rd minute, making it a 1-1 game after King's Eli Carrasco had scored in just the seventh minute of the contest.
Thomas Perez earned the assist on the score.
-Bjornsson then gave the Chargers the lead 12 minutes later when he tallied in the 35th minute off a great pass by
Daniel Buchanan.
-The visiting side would knot the contest back up at 2-2 when Carrasco scored his second of the night in the 62nd minute before Bjornsson put the Chargers back in front in the 73rd.
-Fullen earned his first win in the Blue and White while registering a pair of saves including the game-saving stop late in the contest.
-The Chargers outshot the visitors on the night by a 22-16 margin and also held a 7-4 advantage in shots on goal.

-King earned six corners in the contest, while UAH picked up four.

Noteworthy
-Bjornsson's game-winner is sixth of the senior's career, and he now owns 16 scores during his more than three seasons in Huntsville.
-Watts registered his third career goal with the opener, and it marks the second of his sophomore season.
-The assist for Perez on the goal by Watts represents the Strasbourg, France, native's first collegiate point. The freshman has started each of UAH's first five games.
-Buchanan picked up his first point of the season when assisted on the first score by Bjornsson. The junior now owns 13 career points.
-Birgisson collected his first point of his sophomore season with the helper on the game-winner.

-The Chargers will return to action on Friday when the team travels to Auburn Montgomery. Kickoff against the future Gulf South Conference opponent is slated for 7 p.m.
