UAH Tripped Up Saturday in Series Finale at Cornell

ITHACA, N.Y. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team fell in the nonconference series finale at Cornell by a score of 3-0 at Lynah Rink on Saturday night. UAH dips to 1-5-0, while CU improves to 2-0-0.
 
Turning Point
- Cornell took an early lead at 3:05 of the first period on a goal by Matt Nuttle and would not look back as the Big Red potted one goal apiece in the second and third to seal the 3-0 win over UAH.
 
Scoring Breakdown
- After Nuttle gave the hosts a 1-0 lead in the first, the Big Red's advantage extended to 2-0 with a Trevor Yates power-play goal at 9:25 of the second period.
- Yates would strike again on the man advantage late in the third period with a marker at 16:35 to give Cornell a 3-0 lead which would stand as the contest's final score.
