UAH Skates to 3-3 Tie at Bowling Green, Nabs Extra WCHA Point

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio | The University Alabama in Huntsville hockey team skated to a 3-3 tie with Bowling Green and totaled a shootout win for an additional league point on Friday night at Slater Family Ice Arena. UAH improves to 6-9-2 (5-4-2 WCHA), while BGSU rises to 7-5-2 (6-2-5 WCHA).
 
Turning Point
- Huntsville native Josh Kestner totaled two goals to lead the Chargers to a 3-3 tie against Bowling Green including a key go-ahead tally to 2:08 of the third period.
 
Scoring Breakdown
- BGSU's Mitchell McLain was first on the board at 1:16 of the first period to give the Falcons an early advantage.
- However, Madison Dunn responded with a tally at 5:37 thanks to assists by Richard Buri and Cody Champagne.
- Kestner gave the Blue & White a 2-1 advantage at 12:04 of the first on a helper by John Teets.
- An eventful first ended on a shorthanded score by Stephen Baylis to knot the game at 2-2 at 16:47 of the frame.
- After a scoreless second, UAH pulled ahead on Kestner's goal at 2:08 before BGSU's Connor McDonald brought the game to its 3-3 final at 9:50 of the third.
