ROME, Ga. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse team kicked off Gulf South Conference play with a 12-11 victory at Shorter on Wednesday afternoon at Ben Brady Field. UAH improves to 2-0 (1-0 GSC), while SU slips to 2-1 (0-1 GSC).

- A back-and-forth affair for most of the contest, UAH benefitted from an 8-7 advantage after the first half on Wednesday – led by
Natalie Pachinger's three first-half goals – en route to the 12-11 win over Shorter to open league play.
