Key Plays
-West Georgia scored the first run of the game in the first, and the score would still be 1-0 in the bottom of the second when the Chargers worked some two-out magic with Jordan doubling before both Cornell and
Haley Thompson walked to load the bases for Bannister who singled on a hard liner to short to plate Jordan and knot the contest at 1-1.
-UAH then had the big third inning with Wascavage and Cornell both doubling in the inning, while Miller and Jordan had singles in the frame that saw Wascavage, Miller, Jewell and Jordan all cross the plate as UAH took a 5-1 lead.
-In the bottom of the fourth, Wascavage ripped her second double of the game to score Bannister and make it a 6-1 lead, and though UWG would score a run in the fifth, the hosts would get the run back and carry a 7-2 lead into the sixth off a sac fly from Bannister.
-The contest then ended in the bottom of the sixth as Wascavage and
Reagan Malone singled before Jewell's three-run bomb put the run rule in effect with the Chargers winning 10-2.
