UAH Falls at No. 9 Rollins Sunday Afternoon

WINTER PARK, Fla. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse team lost to No. 9 Rollins by a final score of 16-5 in a nonconference matchup on Sunday afternoon to open the Chargers trip through the Sunshine State. UAH slips to 8-2, while RC improves to 6-2.

Turning Point
- After UAH led early on Alanna Carvalho's first goal of the game 42 seconds into the contest, Rollins proceeded to score eight unanswered goals before a late goal by the Chargers that made it an 8-2 advantage for the hosts after 30 minutes.
 
Inside the Box Score
- Within the first half, Carvalho and Natalie Pachinger – who scored the late UAH goal to cut the deficit to 8-2 – tied with one goal apiece in the first half for the Chargers.
- A junior, Carvalho posted two more goals in the second half to lead the Chargers offense with a trio of points on three goals.
- The Chargers were outscored 8-3 in the second half to bring the game to its 16-5 final, with Kinta Schott notching her lone goal of the game late in the half in addition to Carvalho's two, second-half markers.
- Shannon Kruse led the Chargers with five ground balls and three caused turnovers, while not committing a single turnover.
- Pachinger posted a team-high three draw controls in addition to one goal and one ground ball.
- Leslie Allen Brown posted eight saves in the loss, which drops her season record to 8-2.

- Carvalho's three goals were her most since scoring four against Lincoln Memorial on Feb. 25.
- Rollins was the UAH women's lacrosse program's first nationally-ranked opponent.
