YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse team fell in the 2017 Gulf South Conference Invitational Championship to Young Harris by a final score of 16-12 on Sunday afternoon. UAH finishes the season at 14-5, while YHC improves to 12-7.

- Young Harris started off the scoring on Sunday with back-to-back goals, but UAH negated those tallies and tied the contest at 2-2 on goals by Carvalho at 23:05 and Federovitch at 19:51.
- The Mountain Lions rattled off two more goals to regain the advantage, prior to UAH taking its first lead of the game on a trio of unanswered goals by
Megan Hartnett at 16:51, Federovitch at 12:32 and
