HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-12) victory over LeMoyne Owen to open the 2017 campaign in the Hampton Inn Providence UAH Classic on Thursday night at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall. UAH improves to 1-0, while LOC dips to 0-2.
 
Turning Point
- The Chargers took the lead with a 25-15 win in the opening frame and never looked back, as the squad continued to dominate in the second and third frames – winning 25-15 and 25-12, respectively – while hitting above .400 in the final two sets.

- The Chargers had a total of five players post five kills or more in the win, paced by Anna Claire Johnson with seven followed by Isabelle Barnes with six successful swats.
