UAH Slips in Series Finale at Alaska Anchorage

ANCHORAGE, Alaska | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team was edged 2-1 in the WCHA series finale at Alaska Anchorage on Saturday night at Sullivan Arena. UAH dips to 8-16-2 (7-11-2 WCHA), while UAA improves to 2-16-4 (2-11-3 WCHA).
 
Turning Point
- After nearly 30 consecutive minutes of scoreless play with the game tied 1-1, Alaska Anchorage's Trey deGraaf provided the Seawolves with the game-winning tally at 8:41 of the third period to life UAA to a 2-1 win on Saturday.
 
Scoring Breakdown
- The Chargers generated an early goal 48 seconds into the contest as Connor Merkley ripped a wrist shot past UAA's goalie Olivier Mantha following successive passes by Tyler Poulsen and Brennan Saulnier.
- Alaska Anchorage later tied the contest at 12:43 on a marker by Alex Jackstadt before the Seawolves notched the go-ahead goal by Trey deGraaf at 8:41 of the third period.

- Jordan Uhelski posted 27 saves and two goals allowed, despite his record dropping to 7-11-2 in goal in 2017-18.
