UAH Earns Solid Road Result with 0-0 Draw at CBU

MEMPHIS, Tenn. | Remaining unbeaten in conference play and grabbing an early solo hold of the top of the GSC standings, The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw at Christian Brothers on Friday night. The Chargers are now 4-2-1 (2-0-1 GSC), while CBU is 0-4-1 (0-1-1 GSC).

Turning Points
-The Chargers had the game's first strong scoring chance when Ethan Wilson put a strong head on Vicente Arratia's corner in the 15th minute, but Viktor Hoestbo was in perfect position to make the stop.
-Myles Fullen had to stop a strong header himself later in the first half, keeping the game scoreless in the 30th when he rose to the challenge of Devin Malone's strong effort towards goal.
-In the second half, the Chargers nearly scored in the 56th when Rafa Moreno's headed caromed off the inside of the post and then off the keeper, and Fullen then would make three big saves through the final minutes of regulation to send the game to overtime.
-UAH had by the far the best chances of the extra time as Brayant Toro's free kick in the 92nd sailed just high and Moreno's try from the spot was stopped by Hoestbo in the 96th.
-In the second overtime period, neither team put a shot on target, but the Chargers controlled the play, earning two corners in the stanza.
