UAH Win Streak Pushed to Seven with Two Victories Saturday

SPARTANBURG, S.C. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team has now won seven consecutive matches after picking up a pair of three-set wins over Converse and Limestone on the final day of the Converse College Tournament on Saturday. UAH improves to 9-2 with the two victories.

- UAH returns to Kelly Court at Spragins Hall for the first match of Gulf South Conference play on Tuesday at 5 p.m. against nationally-ranked West Florida.

Turning Point
- After taking an early 1-0 lead with a 25-16 win, UAH dominated the second frame to the tune of a 25-9 drubbing on the way to the three-set victory over Converse.
 
Inside the Box Score
- Caroline Sanford led the overall attack for UAH with a team-high eight kills on a .294 hitting percentage in addition to two total blocks and two digs.
- Freshman Kendall Scharbert had a strong hitting performance with seven kills and a team-high .625 hitting percentage. Scharbert also posted three total blocks to lead the defense.
- Seven Chargers had at least two kills.
- Sabrina Duncan finished with a team-high 16 assists while coming just
short of a double-double with eight digs.
