HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team opened its home slate and Western Collegiate Hockey Association schedule for the 2019-20 season with a 5-1 loss to No. 2 Minnesota State on Friday night at the Von Braun Center. UAH dips to 0-5-0 (0-1-0 WCHA), while MSU improves to 4-0-1 (1-0-0 WCHA).

- Minnesota State outscored UAH 3-0 in the second and third periods, which lifted the Mavericks to a 5-1 victory over the Chargers on Friday night.
