LOWELL, Mass. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team fell in the nonconference series finale at UMass Lowell by a final score of 3-1 on Sunday afternoon at the Tsongas Center. UAH dips to 0-2-0, while UML improves to 2-0-0.
 
Turning Point
-After UAH cut the UMass Lowell lead to 2-1 in the third period on a goal by Tyr Thompson at 7:20, the River Hawks responded quickly at the 8:17 mark of the period to regain a two-goal lead on the way to the 3-1 win over the Chargers.
 
Scoring Breakdown
-The River Hawks scored first again on Sunday afternoon with a goal at 1:39 of the first as Carl Berglund knocked in a loose puck in the crease.
-UMass Lowell added one goal in the second period with a goal by Andre Lee on a rebound at the 14:14 mark.
- Thompson put UAH on the board at 7:20 of the third period with a power-play goal on a snipe from the slot off a feed from Josh Latta. Jack Jeffers also notched an assist on the score that cut the deficit to 2-1.
-The hosts responded less than a minute later at 8:17 of the third as Kenny Hausinger scored in a one-on-one opportunity to bring the game to its final score of 3-1.
