HUNTSVILLE | The No. 11 University of Alabama in Huntsville softball team concluded play at the 2019 Chillout on Sunday, picking up a 13-6 win over West Liberty before coming from behind to knock off Missouri St. Louis 7-5. The Chargers are now 8-4 on the season.

Shelby Booker turned in a terrific performance at the plate, going 4-for-4 with four RBI while scoring twice to help propel UAH to the victory.

Key Plays
-The game was a back-and-forth affair early as after WLU scored twice in the top of the first, the Chargers immediately answered back with Hammonds doubling in a run and two runs scoring on a wild pitch later in the frame to put UAH up 3-2.
-After a scoreless second, West Liberty put two runs on the board to go back in front 4-3, but the lead would prove to be short-lived as a five-run bottom frame that was keyed by a two-run single from Booker put the Chargers ahead for good.
-Cornell then hit a solo shot in the bottom of the fourth before Booker drove in another run to give the Chargers a 10-4 lead, and though WLU added a pair of runs in the top of the fifth, Long's homer in the home half and RBI from Booker and Nutt in the sixth produced the 13-6 final.

Noteworthy
-This marks the third time in Booker's career that the sophomore has driven in four runs in a game as she did it twice last season, while the four hits is a career-high for the UAH third baseman and the most in a game by a Charger this year.
-The win is the second of the year for Uhlman.
-This is the second time this season that UAH has drawn nine walks in a game.

Game Changer
-After the Chargers had fallen behind 5-0, Wascavage hit a two-run, game-tying double in the bottom of the fifth and Cornell singled up the middle to plate the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth to help UAH complete the comeback.

-UMSL outhit the Chargers by a 12-10 clip, as Booker completed her strong weekend with three more hits to go along with two runs and another RBI.
-Both Nutt and Cornell also recorded a multi-hit game as the two both logged a pair in the game.
-The Chargers had three more hits for extra bases as each of Booker, Hampton, and Wascavage had doubles in the game.
-Uhlman earned another win in the circle as she struck out seven with giving up just three hacits and no runs in 4.0 innings of relief.

Key Plays
-The Tritons built up a 5-0 lead by scoring twice in the first, another in the second, and two more in the third before the Chargers were able to get on the board in the bottom of the third when Booker and Nutt singled in runs to make it a 5-2 game.
-Uhlman stranded a pair of runners in the top of the fourth, letting UAH inch closer when Booker doubled in Hammonds in the bottom half to create a 5-3 score.
-Wascavage then tied the game in the home half of the fifth, doubling to left center to score Cornell and Hampton who had led off the inning being hit by a pitch and getting a base hit, respectively, and Uhlman retired UMSL in order in the top of the 6th to give UAH the chance to go in front.
-The Chargers did just that when Booker led off the inning with a single, moved to second on a sac bunt by Nutt, and stole third, allowing her to scurry home on Cornell's grounder up the middle, and a wild pitch later in the inning permitted Cornell to score, creating the eventual 7-5 final.
-UMSL threatened in the top of the seventh, getting its first two batters on base, but Uhlman struck out the next two batters before inducing a groundball for the final out to end the game.

-Uhlman is now 3-0 and has totaled 26 strikeouts to go along with zero walks.
-Booker's batting average surges up to .561 after she posted 16 hits in the six games this weekend, and she is also now second on the team with nine RBI after driving in five in total on Sunday.
