BOWLING GREEN, Ohio | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team has secured a berth in the 2019 Western Collegiate Hockey Association Playoffs with a come-from-behind 4-2 win at No. 15 Bowling Green on Friday night at Slater Family Ice Arena in the opening game of a two-game WCHA series. UAH improves to 8-25-2 (8-17-2 WCHA), while BGSU dips to 20-9-5 (15-8-4 WCHA).

Turning Point
- After being held scoreless in the first and second period, UAH turned in a total of four goals in the third frame to win the series opener on Friday night by a 4-2 final.

Scoring Breakdown
- Following a scoreless period by both sides in the first, Bowling Green took a 1-0 lead at the 5:06 mark of the second period for the first lead.
- UAH evened the score at 3:49 of the third when
Madison Dunn slipped in a wraparound goal thanks to an assist by
Kurt Gosselin.
- The Chargers took the lead at 5:50 of the third with Jesper Öhrvall's wrister from the right wing, and the squad pushed the lead to 3-1 on Hans Gorowksy's power-play goal at 7:43.
- BGSU cut the UAH lead to 3-2 on Jacob Dalton's goal at 12:00, but the Chargers held on for the win while adding an empty-net goal at 19:56 by
Connor Merkley to bring the game to its 4-2 final.
