HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's tennis team picked up a Gulf South Conference win on Saturday, defeating visiting Delta State 6-1. The Chargers improve to 5-5 (1-2 GSC), while the Lady Statesmen slip to 2-5 (1-1 GSC).

-This marks UAH's first conference win of the season.
-UAH now owns back-to-back 6-1 wins after beating Clark Atlanta by that same score on Wednesday.
-The Chargers have won the doubles point in six of the past seven matches.
-Thomas moves to 3-1 on the year when playing at the No. 4, and she wins her team-best sixth match overall.
-Mehlich moves to 5-2 with all of her outings coming at the top spot, and she has surrendered just four games in three of those victories.
-Stearman and Lopez have now won six matches in a row in doubles, improving to 7-1 on the year.
