UAH Throttles Ursuline 14-1 Monday at Charger Park

HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse team cruised to its seventh straight win to start the 2019 campaign with a 14-1 victory over visiting Ursuline at Charger Park in a nonconference matchup on Monday afternoon. UAH improves to 7-0, while UC dips to 1-2.

- UAH dominated the first half with eight unanswered goals on the way to the 14-1 win over the Arrows on Monday.

- Nicole Federovitch finished the contest with a team-high six points on two goals and a roster-best four assists.
- Fiorino registered a team-best five goals, while tying for the roster lead with two caused turnovers.
- Both Katie Gerber and Abbey O'Brien ranked third on the roster with three points apiece, as Gerber had two goals and one assist and O'Brien notched three goals.
- Megan Hartnett and Abigail Cherry tied for the team lead in ground balls with four, as nine Chargers had two ground balls or more in the contest.

- Fiorino led the Chargers attack in the first half with three of her five goals in the initial 20 minutes of play, as O'Brien scored twice and Chesna, Gerber, and Pachinger each added one tally to give UAH an 8-0 lead at the half.
- UAH added seven unanswered goals in the second half before Ursuline ended the shutout bid at 9:30 of the frame to bring the game to its final score of 14-1.

- Federovitch has had four assists in a game three times this season.
- Fiorino's five goals are a career-high for the sophomore.
