Both Tennis Squads Drop Tight 4-3 Decisions at AUM on Saturday

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville tennis teams battled tough on the road on Saturday as both teams fell by 4-3 scores to host Auburn Montgomery. The women's team is now 6-8 (1-4 Gulf South Conference), while the men's squad is 5-7 (0-5 GSC) after playing its third straight nationally-ranked opponent as AUM is No. 38 on the men's side.

-Thomas earns her team-leading eighth win in singles, and the freshman has captured victories in four of her last six outings.
-Kirchtag now ranks second on the team with seven wins in singles, and she is 4-1 when playing at the No. 5.
-This is the eighth time this year that the Chargers have won the doubles point.
-Mehlich and Kirchtag are 7-5 in doubles and also move to 2-1 in conference action.
