UAH Earns 1-0 Win at Delta State to Start GSC Play

CLEVELAND, Miss. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team opened up Gulf South Conference play positively on Friday afternoon, going on the road and defeating Delta State by a 1-0 score. The Chargers improve to 2-3-0 (1-0-0 GSC), while DSU slips to 3-2-0 (0-1-0 GSC).
 
Turning Point
-The game was a scoreless draw until the 67th minute when Connor Young broke the tie with the eventual game-winning tally.
 
Inside the Box Score
-Shots in the contest were even at 9-9 with the Chargers holding a slim 4-3 advantage in attempts that were on target.
-Rafa Moreno was the lone Charger to record multiple shots, firing off four, and he was joined by Vicente Arratia, Cam Smith, and Young in having an on-target shot.
-Kelly made three saves in earning the clean sheet in goal for the Chargers.
