HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville has announced Bryant Bank has made a gift of $25,000 to UAH Charger Athletics. This commitment will go to support 16 men's and women's athletics programs.
Â
"To get such a generous contribution during the pandemic is just truly unbelievable," says
Dr. Cade Smith, UAH Director of Athletics. "This is the second year in a row they have made this gift, and we were certainly blessed last year through their generosity as well. For this gift to come right now speaks volumes, and it is hard to put into words how grateful we are for Bryant Bank."
Â
This commitment is an unrestricted gift that will go to support the entire UAH athletic program and will benefit the entire Huntsville community.
Â
"One thing that we want to do as a department is to be Huntsville's team, and in order to do that, we need the kind of support that Bryant Bank is able to give," Dr. Smith says.
Â
"To see that they appreciate what we are trying to do here at UAH in athletics and overall as an institution makes us extremely proud, and I hope they are equally as proud to be a part of Huntsville's team!"
Â
"UAH has a highly successful athletic program and a rich history in the Huntsville community," says Ken Watson, Bryant Bank Huntsville Market President. "The student-athletes are not only outstanding competitors in their respective sports, but also highly accomplished in the classroom and terrific ambassadors for sports in our community. Bryant Bank is excited to gift another $25,000 this year to the UAH Athletic Department to assist with the recruitment and development of its student-athletes and promote its athletic programs…Charge On!"
