MADISON, Ala. | The No. 25 University of Alabama in Huntsville softball team took on No. 6 Young Harris on Wednesday on the campus of Bob Jones High School dude to weather conditions, and the Chargers fell 12-11 and 10-3 to the Mountain Lions. UAH slips to 15-8 with the setbacks, while YHC improves to 19-3.

-UAH was able to get the tying run to second in the bottom of the seventh, but Young Harris was able to strand the runner there to secure the win.

-Nutt hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the first to get things started, but Young Harris immediately answered with a five-spot in the top of the second to go up 5-2.
-An RBI groundout from Cornell and a run-scoring infield single off the bat of Akles pulled the Chargers back within one in the second, and Cornell drove in another pair in the bottom of the third to put the Chargers ahead 6-5.
-Another big inning for the Mountain Lions in the fourth made it a 9-6 game, and a three-run homer in the fifth put YHC up 12-6.
-UAH battled back, however, putting together its own five-run inning in the fifth with Nutt and Akles driving in a run, another run scoring on an error, and Long knocking in a pair to make it 12-11, but that would be all of the scoring in the game as UAH left the bases loaded in the sixth and stranded the one runner in the seventh.

-The 11 walks represent a season high for the Chargers and the most since drawing 16 free passes against Union on May 2 of last season.
-The home run is the second of the season for Nutt, and she now has a team-best 22 RBI.
