HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team returned to action on Friday night at the Von Braun Center with a 3-1 loss to Michigan Tech in the first game of a two-game nonconference series. UAH dips to 2-6-1, while MTU improved to 10-5-1.

-After UAH took a 1-0 lead into first intermission, Michigan Tech scored three unanswered goals in the following two periods to take the series-opener by a 3-1 final.

-The Chargers went ahead first at 18:30 of the opening period as junior captain
Bauer Neudecker cleaned up a loose puck in front of the crease for a 1-0 lead. Both
Tyrone Bronte and
Mick Heneghan notched assists.
