UAH Wraps up Nonconference Play with 21-6 Win at North Greenville

TIGERVILLE, S.C. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse team cruised to a 21-6 victory over North Greenville in nonconference action on the road on Tuesday afternoon. UAH improves to 7-2, while NGU dips to 2-6.
 
Turning Point
-UAH opened the contest on Tuesday with 10 unanswered goals in the first 20 minutes of play as the Chargers would not look back in the 21-6 win over the Crusaders.
 
Inside the Box Score
-The Chargers offense was led by Hailey Gallant with eight points on a team-high five goals and three assists. She also added two ground balls to rank tied for second on the squad.
-Both Katie Williams and Cara Brown scored four goals in the contest to rate tied for second on the day, with Williams also adding one assist for five points in the game.
-Brown additionally recorded a team-high seven draw controls and three caused turnovers.
-Riley Kirby registered a team-best three ground balls and tied with Brown with three caused turnovers on Tuesday.
-Shaina Doser earned the win in goal for the Chargers, allowing three goals and notching three saves in the start. She improves to 1-1.
-Katie Gerber posted four points on two goals and two assists.
-Sara Farley scored three goals to rank fourh on the roster.
-UAH held the edge over NGU in shots on goal (25-9) and ground balls (14-7).
 
Noteworthy
-Gallant now has 34 goals and 32 assists this season, as she's the only player in the GSC this season to surpass 30 goals and 30 assists.
-She is just the second Charger to accomplish the feat, as Nicole Federovitch had 30-plus goals and 30-plus assists in 2018 and 2019.
-Brown leads the roster with 49 goals.
-This is UAH's fifth 20-plus goal game in 2021.

-UAH starts its Gulf South Conference schedule next Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Montevallo.
