UAH Slips in Rivalry Series-Opener at No. 17 Bemidji State

BEMIDJI, Minn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team opened up the final weekend of the 2020-21 regular season with a 2-0 loss at Bemidji State on Saturday afternoon in Western Collegiate Hockey Association action. UAH dips to 3-15-1 (3-10-0 WCHA), while BSU improves to 12-8-3 (7-5-1 WCHA).
 
Turning Point
­-The Beavers broke the scoreless tie at 16:54 of the first period with a goal by Aaron Miller, which proved to be the game-winner in the defensive struggle with BSU going on to win 2-0 on Saturday.
 
Inside the Box Score
-David Fessenden started in goal for the Chargers on Saturday, turning in 31 saves with two goals allowed. His record dips to 3-9-1 with the loss.
-The Chargers accrued 16 shots on goal against the Beavers, led by Tyr Thompson with four shots saved.
-Lucas Bahn, Joshua Corrow, Tyrone Bronte, and Frank Vitucci each rated second on the roster with two shots on goal apiece.
