HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team fell to visiting North Georgia by a final score of 3-1 on Sunday afternoon at Charger Park. UAH slips to 0-2-0, while UNG improves to 1-1-0.

After a mostly scoreless first half, UAH took the first lead of the contest on a 43rd-minute goal by
Charlie Garrison off an assist from
Kieran Rowe. This was Garrison's first career goal with the Chargers.

UAH would take the 1-0 lead into the half, as the squad accumulated a bevy of chances with 10 shots on goal and eight corner kicks through the initial 45 minutes.

North Georgia went on to score three unanswered goals in the second half by Max Garnett in the 51st minute, Santiago Gimenez in the 61st minute, and Payge Sinclair in the 73rd minute with the Nighthawks going on to win by the 3-1 final score.

The Chargers outpaced the Nighthawks in shots on goal in the contest by a 17-5 margin, while also accruing 14 corner kicks to UNG's one.

Shalev Keter recorded the most shots on goal for UAH with five, followed by Rafa Vega with three shots on target.

Giancarlo Martinez played the full time in goal for the Chargers, notching two saves in the loss.

UAH hits the road next weekend with nonconference matches at Florida Southern on Friday and Eckerd on Sunday.
