CLINTON, Miss. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team dropped a Friday matchup at Mississippi College by a final score of 2-1 on Friday afternoon in Gulf South Conference action. UAH slides to 0-7-1 (0-3-0 GSC), while MC improves to 5-2-0 (2-2-0 GSC).

Mississippi College took the early edge in the 14th minute with a goal by Guilherme Santos, but UAH would even the contest at 1-1 in the 19th minute when
Sander Van Der Sluijs converted a penalty kick opportunity.

UAH and MC would go scoreless for the ensuing moments of the first half, as the Choctaws would take a 2-1 edge in the 80th minute which gave the hosts the eventual victory on Friday.

Robert Bailey and
Giancarlo Martinez combined for 45-minutes apiece in goal on Friday, with Bailey notching a team-high four saves.

UAH generated four shots on goal and two corner kicks overall in the contest.

The Chargers now head to Delta State for a Sunday matchup at 3:30 p.m.
