Luke Burnett eclipsed 1,000 points in his career after posting 34 points during opening weekend at the South Region Crossover.

He becomes the 32nd member of the UAH men's basketball program to eclipse 1,000 points in his career, as he now has 1006 career points entering the week's slate.

A Preseason All-GSC selection, Burnett has appeared in 86 career games with the Chargers, primarily as a three-point specialist sinking a total of 234 three-pointers so far in his career. His 234 career three-pointers rates sixth in program history currently.

The Chargers look ahead to hosting the Bill Penney Classic at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall this weekend with matchups against No. 6 Lincoln Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Fisk at 4 p.m. on Saturday. UAH additionally hosts Edward Waters vs. Fisk on Friday at 5:30 p.m. and Edward Waters vs. Young Harris on Saturday at 2 p.m.
