HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse team fell to No. 20 Saint Leo by a final score of 14-12 on Friday night at Charger Park in nonconference action. UAH slides to 3-5, while SLU improves to 5-0.

Neither the Chargers or Lions led by more than three goals throughout the contest on Friday night, as Saint Leo edged out the win 14-12 over UAH in the nonconference tilt.

Chloe Wood guided the Chargers offense with five goals, as she also had a team-high eight draw controls and five ground balls in a strong all-around performance. Wood now has 15 goals on the season to go along with a roster-leading 30 draw controls.

Katie Gerber additionally had a successful night overall with four goals in addition to leading the squad with five ground balls and three caused turnovers.

Isadora Springer rounded out the Chargers with multi-point performances with two goals in the win.

Tori Ryan played the full time in goal for UAH, notching four saves against Saint Leo.

Despite incurring the loss, UAH held the edge over Saint Leo in shots on goal (23-18).
Sarah Cole led the Chargers in shots on goal with seven in the contest.

The Chargers are back in action next weekend with two games in the Sunshine State at Rollins on Wednesday and Florida Tech on Saturday.
