Galinski, Phillips, and Vender Earn All-PBC Honors

AUGUSTA, Ga. | The Peach Belt Conference announced its men's lacrosse All-Conference awards on Thursday afternoon and three University of Alabama in Huntsville team members earned All-PBC honors. 

Earning honors for the Chargers was Collin Galinski as he brought home first-team honors, while Brody Phillips and Reid Vender earned second-team considerations. 

This is Galinski's second appearance on the All-PBC team as he earned second team honors last season. The Johns Creek, Georgia, native caused 27 turnovers and corralled 33 ground balls in 15 games this season. In his career, Galinski has caused 50 turnovers with 59 ground balls. 

Phillips earned his third consecutive All-PBC nod as he led the Chargers in points, racking up 31 goals with 16 assists on the season. The senior had five games in which he scored four or more goals this year, including a five goal game at Shorter. The Syracuse, New York, native enters the postseason with 175 points on 106 goals and 69 assists in his career. 

For Vender, this is his second straight appearance on the All-PBC second team as he tallied 26 points from 17 goals and nine assists. He appeared in 14 games for the Chargers this season and collected 17 ground balls. 

The Chargers travel to Greenwood, South Carolina, on Friday to take on No. 5 seed Young Harris at Van Taylor Stadium in the quarterfinals of the PBC Tournament.
