Chargers Conclude 2023 Season with 15-13 Semifinal Setback to Lander

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse team saw its 2023 season come to a close in the Gulf South Conference Women's Lacrosse Championships semifinals, falling to No. 3 seed Lander 15-13. UAH finishes the season at 9-9 while the Bearcats move to 11-6.

Katie Gerber was named the GSC Champion Scholar-Athlete which is awarded at each GSC Championship final in each sport to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA among teams participating.
 
Isadora Springer scored a season-high five goals and added one assist for a season-high six-point performance on the afternoon. Springer finishes the 2023 campaign as the Chargers leading goal scorer with 49 goals.
 
Freshman Sarah Cole had a four-goal outing while Chloe Wood scored the other three Charger goals to round out the goal scorers for Huntsville's Team.
 
On the defensive side, Sydney Schiavone and Springer each caused two turnovers while Shaina Doser registered 10 saves in 60 minutes of action for the Blue & White.
