Men's Soccer Plays to Scoreless Tie Friday Night with AUM

HUNTSVILLE  | The UAH men's soccer team's matchup at Charger Park against visiting Auburn Montgomery concluded in a 0-0 tie on Friday night in Gulf South Conference action. UAH moves to 4-2-2 (2-0-1), while AUM's record is now 4-0-4 (3-0-1 GSC).
 
This was the first-ever scoreless tie between UAH and AUM in a series that features a total of 17 matches dating back to the 1985 season.
 
The Chargers held the edge over the Warhawks with two shots on goal compared to AUM's one in addition to generating five corner kicks to the visitors' three.
 
Ethan Haworth records his fourth career shutout in the draw, as he navigated the Chargers defense through the Warhawks' three corner kicks including two in the second half.
 
Brewer Wall and Nick York each notched one shot on goal fro the Blue & White in the tie, as York additionally played the full 90 minutes on Friday.
 
Jose Bannwart, James Fee, Harvey Hewson, Colby Nesbit, Cameron Strachan and Rafa Vega all also were on the pitch for the full 90 minutes for UAH on Friday night.
 
UAH remains one of five unbeaten teams in GSC play so far in the 2023 campaign.
 
The Chargers are back in action on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. with a GSC matchup against Montevallo.
