No. 12 Softball Wraps Charger Chillout with Rout of KWC Saturday

ALBERTVILLE, Ala. | The No. 12 UAH softball team wrapped up action at the 2024 Charger Chillout, presented by Marshall County Tourism & Sports, at Sand Mountain Park with a 10-0 win over Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday morning. UAH improves to 7-3, while KWC slides to 1-2.

The Chargers went in front early with back-to-back four-run rallies in the first and second innings that guided the Blue & White to the 10-0 win in five innings on Saturday.

Sophomore Alexa Douthitt led the UAH offense, as she went 3-for-3 with one double and a team-high three RBI. This was Douthitt's second three-hit game of the Chillout.

Grace O'Berry was stellar again in the circle for the Chargers on Saturday, tossing the full 5.0 innings with zero walks and four strikeouts. She picks up her first win of the season to improve to 1-0.

UAH totaled 10 base hits as a team, including doubles by Jada Henderson and Laura Harbin to go along with Douthitt's two-bagger.

The Chargers look ahead to the start of Gulf South Conference play for the 2024 season at Mississippi College next Saturday and Sunday.
