TAMPA, Fla. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse team dropped a nonconference matchup at No. 5 Tampa on Thursday afternoon by a 25-2 score. UAH slips to 7-3 while the Spartans improve to 6-2 on the year.
Sarah Cole and
Maya Bronson claimed the Charger goals on the day as each sophomore tallied their 29
thpoint on the season. The 29-point mark ranks second-best on the UAH roster.
Riley Kirby caused a team-high two turnovers for the Charger defense while
Kourtney Bauroth and
Arlene Planicka each scooped up a roster-high two ground balls in the setback.
Farrah Westfall played the majority of minutes in net for the Blue & White making six saves in the contest.
UAH will look ahead to continuing the road trip through the Sunshine State with a matchup at No. 20 Lynn on Saturday. That game is scheduled for a 3 p.m. CT start.
