HUNTSVILLE | The UAH women's lacrosse team started off Gulf South Conference play with a home victory over Lee by a 20-7 score on Thursday afternoon at Charger Park. The Chargers improve to 8-5 (1-0 GSC), while LU moves to 7-6 (0-1 GSC).

Isadora Springer led the UAH offense on the day with a four-goal outing while a trio of Chargers recorded hat tricks as
Sarah Cole,
Maya Bronson, and
Shannon Finch all found the back of the net three times in the contest.

Five more UAH players recorded at least one goal in the game to make it nine different goal scorers for the home team.Â

Bryanna Hamblin was a strong performer for UAH with three caused turnovers and four draw controls, and
Riley Kirby picked up a team-best three ground balls while causing one turnover on defense.

Tori Ryan and
Farrah Westfall split time in the net for the Chargers, making a combined four saves in the victory.

The Blue & White will look to make it back-to-back wins in a matchup with Montevallo on Monday night in the Rocket City. Â
