LIVINGTSON, Ala. | The No. 25 UAH softball team rolled to its 14th consecutive Gulf South Conference wins in a doubleheader sweep at West Alabama on Friday by scores of 2-0 and 5-4. UAH improves to 35-12 (20-6 GSC), while UWA slides to 28-16 (12-14 GSC).

UAH 2, UWA 0
Josie Thompson held the Tigers scoreless over her complete-game performance, issuing zero walks over 7.0 innings with six strikeouts. The win improves her record to 13-5.

Jada Henderson provided the lone offense Thompson needed with a two-RBI double in the sixth, as she ended the day 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Lawren Hayes went 3-for-4 out of the lead-off spot with one run scored while registering one of her hits as a double.

Kaylee Vaught drew a team-high two walks to go along with one run scored.

UAH 5, UWA 4
The Chargers came from behind to win the night cap as
Kylee Smith delivered a clutch grand slam in the sixth that put UAH ahead for good in the 5-4 win.

Smith highlighted the Chargers offense overall, going 2-for-3 with one run scored to go along with her four RBI.

Grace O'Berry earned the win in relief on Friday with 5.1 innings, one run allowed and seven strikeouts out of the bullpen. She rises to 7-2 this season.

Thompson picked up her first save of the season, tossing the final two outs.
